Bennetts Lane residency - final night Thursday 25 August

Our season at Bennetts Lane Jazz Club is the first time in many years that the AAO will appear in a jazz club – an event that will afford our audiences a more intimate connection with our music.

Led by Paul Grabowsky, on piano; you will hear: Lachlan Davidson, saxophone; Tony Hicks, saxophone; Scott McConnachie, saxophone, Scott Tinkler, trumpet; Eugene Ball, trumpet; Jordan Murray, bass trombone; Erkki Veltheim, viola; Phil Rex, double bass; Stephen Magnusson, guitar; and Niko Schauble, Peter Neville, percussion.

Featuring tunes from a number of Paul Grabowsky’s albums including TeeVee and Viva Viva and an extended work written for the AAO to play at the Melbourne Festival in 2000 based on a theme by French composer, Marin Marais, who was a student of the great Jean-Baptiste Lully the court composer for the Sun King, Louis XIV.
