John Rodgers is a musician, improviser, and composer. His major works include Inferno (for ELISION, Adelaide Festival 2000), Places in Hell (for ELISION, Germany 2000), Moras (for the Australian Art Orchestra, Adelaide Festival 1998 and European Tour 2000), The Sunshine Club (Queensland Theatre Company 1999, Sydney Theatre Company 2000), TULP – the Body Public (for ELISION, Sydney Festival 2005, Brisbane Festival 2005), The Dreamcatchers (a flamenco song cycle – Queensland Music Festival 2007), Carolling (Sydney Festival 2004), Five Short Pieces on Australian Bird Song (for Genevieve Lacey – recorder 2006) The Mizler Society (with Anthony Burr for the Australian Art Orchestra 2002).
