Program Notes
Two Ducks Swimming premires the work of three leading composers from widely different backgrounds: Willy Zygier (best known for his work in rock music), classically trained Elena Kats-Chernin and jazz legend Paul Grabowsky.
Katz-Cherin’s contribution features the brilliant Sandy Evans, while Grabowsky’s piece draws into the ensemble the considerable talents of pianist Stuart Campbell and electronics wizard, Ollie Olsen, in a work which takes its inspiration from the late 17th century French gamba composer Marin Marais.
